“Doctor Morgan? This is Lieutenant Jase Charter. I understand you wanted to speak to me?”

“Yes, thank you for calling, lieutenant. As you know we had Luke Westerly admitted as a patient a few days ago.”

“So I’ve heard.”

“I just wanted to inform you first hand that we couldn’t find anything medically wrong with him, besides the obvious.”

“Mhm.”

“I don’t suppose you know what might have happened to result in his admittance?”

“No, but believe me, I plan to find out.”

“Er…”

“I understand Commander Nelson is the base commander out there?”

“That is correct.”

“Have you spoken to the commander about… the incident?”

“Ah, yes. He was very, uh, upset by it.”

“Right. Don’t suppose you could illuminate for me Luke’s behavior while under your care?”

“He was difficult at times.”

“It says here you had to sedate him again after he initially woke up for attempting to… I can’t quite make out that next word.”

“Um, that would be strangle.”

“Right. For attempting to strangle a doctor.”

“He was much calmer after that, though.”

“Calmer is probably the wrong word; I’d recommend restrained.”

“I guess?”

“Well, this has been very helpful, Doctor…?”

“Morgan.”

“Doctor Morgan. I appreciate it.”

“Not a problem, lieutenant-…Lieutenant?”
